At Foundation KPN, the corporate social responsibility arm of KPN Safety Solutions, we firmly believe our work goes beyond providing industrial safety solutions. Our mission also includes generating a positive impact in the communities where we operate—especially during emergencies or crises.
In January 2024, Bogotá, Colombia, faced a severe forest fire emergency that threatened both people and the environment. Among the most vulnerable were street animals and those housed in community rescue shelters. The fires not only posed a direct danger from the flames but also severely degraded air quality, forcing many animals to be evacuated from their temporary homes. Some were even at risk of burns or respiratory problems.
In response, Foundation KPN mobilized to support the animals affected by this crisis. We organized a comprehensive donation campaign to meet their most urgent needs. During the campaign, we distributed essential medications, high-quality food, potable water, and comfortable beds for dogs and cats. This effort benefited over five shelters across different areas of Bogotá, providing relief to those who work tirelessly to protect and care for the city’s most vulnerable animals.
Our goal was not only to deliver immediate aid but also to highlight the importance of collaboration among businesses, communities, and social organizations in facing adversity together. As Foundation KPN, we reaffirm our commitment to stand up for those in greatest need—whether human or animal—and to serve as a bridge of hope in difficult times.
We will continue working with the same passion and dedication, developing projects that not only reflect our corporate values but also help build a safer, more compassionate world for all.
