December 2025 left us in Villavicencio with something more than just lights and celebrations. It gave us unforgettable memories, sincere laughter, and the confirmation that solidarity, when truly lived, has the power to transform realities.
During an emotional gift-giving event, boys and girls between the ages of 1 and 13 received presents specially chosen for them. For us, it wasn’t just about toys or material items, but about gestures filled with affection, attention, and hope—at a time of year when feeling seen and accompanied means everything.
This initiative was made possible thanks to a joint donation from the KPN Foundation and KPN Safety. We firmly believe in the positive impact of supporting communities beyond our daily operations, and that commitment translates into concrete actions that directly reach what matters most: people.
The event was led and coordinated by the Villavicencio Fire Department, whom we deeply admire. Beyond their bravery and service in emergency situations, they once again demonstrated their closeness to the community. On this occasion, their job was not to extinguish fires or perform rescues, but to spark smiles and accompany families in a moment full of emotion.
Every gift delivered was different, designed to respect ages, interests, and needs. There were toys, educational items, and surprises that sparked the curiosity and joy of the little ones. For many children, that gift represented a unique experience; for others, it was the confirmation that they are not alone and that there are people and institutions ready to lend a hand.
Beyond the numbers — 83 gifts, dozens of families, a community gathered — what was truly valuable was the atmosphere created: hugs, words of encouragement, looks full of hope, and a Christmas lived from a human perspective. While the adults looked on with gratitude, the children filled the space with laughter and wonder, reminding us of the true meaning of these dates.
For us, this social action reaffirms that social responsibility is not an abstract concept, but a practice built with time, dedication, and empathy. When foundations, companies, and local entities work together, the impact multiplies and leaves footprints that last far beyond a single day.
Villavicencio witnessed a different kind of Christmas. A Christmas where the greatest gift was not the one wrapped in paper, but the one given from the heart. A day that reminded us that solidarity also protects, cares, and saves, and that investing in childhood is investing in a more humane and hopeful future.
