On June 21 of 2023, an unforgettable day unfolded in the history of our organization. On this day, what we had dreamed of for several months, and why not say it, for years, came to fruition. We identified a need in the working conditions of the women at the AME Foundation located in Maranhão – Açailandia, Brazil, and decided to contribute to their social work by providing them with an eco-friendly and sustainable tool.
We donated solar panels to contribute to energy savings and optimization, enabling the full development of their daily activities. Adolfo Goncalves, CCO and Co-founder of KPN, Sharon Quevedo, Marketing Manager, Leandro Oliveira, Commercial Manager for Brazil, Eduardo Basbus, Administrative and Financial Manager for Brazil, and Alair Motta, Commercial Technician for Brazil, traveled to the region for the project delivery, all with the clear objective of conveying the message of building a safer future together.
The event was primarily designed to provide a special and fun moment for the children of the community and their mothers, who work daily to provide them with a better quality of life. Additionally, we found a key networking space with community stakeholders and institutions focused on addressing social inequalities and promoting sustainable development for vulnerable communities.
We recognize the importance of collaboration for achieving lasting change. Therefore, we will work hand in hand with other organizations and strategic allies from all economic sectors who have entrusted us and will contribute to different projects with their knowledge, experience, and service. This will allow us to expand our reach and maximize our impact on the community.
